Description

Hone your critical reasoning and evaluation skills in this case review course. The course helps you focus on the most clinically relevant factors for diagnosis, management planning, and treatment approach across the essential areas of radiation oncology.

The course emphasizes the clinical management of malignant and benign diseases, including anatomy, epidemiology, pathology, patterns of local, regional, and distant involvement, treatment modalities, radiation treatment planning, treatment results, prognosis, and complications.

The course opens with a lecture on the critical reasoning and communication skills essential to passing the Oral Certification Exam.  Faculty reinforce these skills through recorded mock oral sessions. This content is available for participants to view during the course.  The recorded mock orals cover relevant standards-of-care cases. Moreover, they include half-hour mock oral exams with feedback.  In addition, participant volunteers and experienced faculty take part in 25-minute virtual simulations of the Oral Board process. This is followed by faculty critique.

Course fees include participation in two private virtual mock oral sessions scheduled during the course.  Participants may purchase additional mock orals if desired; however, topic availability may become limited as the course start date approaches.  We match participants with faculty based on their topic selections.
