Description

This comprehensive review is designed to provide senior trainees and/or clinicians in practice an update of clinical knowledge as well as to help trainees prepare for their Radiology exams (the initial certification and MOC). The 4-day course includes didactic lectures with a discussion of embedded review questions for each topic. Emphasis is on evidence-based medicine and board-relevant standards of care as well as new concepts, treatments, and imaging approaches.

The webinar will be delivered using Zoom Cloud Meetings, allowing audio and visual interaction between you and the faculty. To take part in the webinar you need a computer with a good internet connection. With this online webinar course, you get the best of both worlds – the comfort and safety of your own home or office and the chance to learn from the Osler Faculty and your peers. All participants will receive complimentary streaming access to a recording of the course up thru April 5.

Objectives

Upon completion of this course, the participants should be able to:

  • Demonstrate improved core knowledge in diagnostic radiology to include: anatomy, pathophysiology, differential diagnosis, image interpretation, and management as well as clinically appropriate physics/regulations, QA requirements, and patient safety
  • Identify and discuss the latest imaging modalities and techniques currently being used in the field of Diagnostic Radiology to improve patient care.
  • Display working knowledge of basic Interventional Radiology procedures and effective patient care before, during, and after the procedure.
  • Explain the appropriate use of radiopharmaceuticals to aid in imaging and differential diagnosis for all major anatomic areas plus important artifact and quality control issues
  • Identify one’s areas of strength and weakness in each ABR defined section of Diagnostic Radiology to aid in self-study and life-long learning.
  • Summarize actions necessary to comply with various governing agencies to sustain accreditation, licensing, and board certification requirements
