Objectives

Upon completion of this course the participants should be able to:

  • Identify and discuss the latest imaging modalities and techniques currently being used in the field of Diagnostic Radiology to improve patient care
  • Display a working knowledge of basic Interventional Radiology procedures and effective patient care before, during and after the procedure
  • Explain the appropriate use of radiopharmaceuticals to aid in imaging and differential diagnosis for all major anatomic areas plus important artifact and quality control issues
  • Identify one’s areas of strength and weakness in each ABR defined section of Diagnostic Radiology to aid in self-study and life-long learning
  • Summarize actions necessary to comply with various governing agencies to sustain accreditation, licensing, and board certification requirements
