OB-GYN Mock Oral Review Course

The Mock Oral Course is designed to increase your comfort with orally answering questions about how you diagnose and treat patients.  This is accomplished through practice and listening.  You will be given at least one mock oral exam for each day you are registered in the course.  For the basic two day course you would probably be scheduled for one public and one private mock oral exam sometime during the two day period.

In public mock oral exams you will be questioned by faculty on a set of cases they have prepared in a room where all of the other participants can listen.  Private mock oral exams differ in that the faculty will question you on your case list in a smaller room where you get to control who listens.  All mock oral exams are scheduled for thirty minutes during which approximately twenty minutes are spent questioning the participant and ten minutes are spent providing feedback.

Additional public and private mock oral exams can be purchased subject to availability to obtain additional practice.

Case List Editing

The Osler reviewer will check to see that evidence supporting your diagnosis is present, as well as, the proper treatment and follow up for any complications along with the appropriate continuing care are performed. They will also check for consistent terminology, approved abbreviations, proper header titles for each section and identify questionable patterns of practice. You will learn how to best prepare your cases from these comments. As a result you will be able to complete yours with confidence knowing its strengths and weaknesses. With this preparation will be tough for an examiner to ask you a question you cannot answer. You will be contacted within 48hrs of how to send us your case list.
